Matthew 27:50-53 “And Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, and yielded up His Spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were open; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the Holy City and appeared to many.”
Did you know this is the only place that you read about this event in the Bible? No one else mentions it, but it is there for a reason, and I believe, for a season. We have entered in a season of shaking.
There will be a shaking amongst the church. It is the separation of the wheat and tares, the sheep from the goats. Even churches that have a been built upon solid rock will split. Those that wish to hear the gospel truth will stay, and those that want to have their ears tickled will find a place for that.
You are seeing it happen already. Churches are battling over the word of God, distorting it so that they be comfortable in their sins. Shall we allow same sex marriages? Should we not? Do we allow homosexuals in the church? Do we worship the same God as the Muslims? Tough questions, but the answers are in God’s word.
Man shall marry a woman. Yes, let the homosexual in your churches. Teach them the word of God. Judge them not, “Ye without sin cast the first stone!” Point to, all that enter the doors of your church, towards the Truth. And then let Holy Spirit do what He does best, bringing about conviction. I will say this; until their hearts are in line with God’s, they should not be in a leadership position. The Muslim may believe that they serve the same God, but the religion is extremely legalist with no relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. However, He does loves them and wants them to turn their hearts toward him.
Then, this is something the Lord showed me the other day. The church, the body of Christ has been asleep, but there will be a shaking to come that will bring them out of their slumber, and she shall rise and take the authority back that was given to her. The sleeping giant will rise and become what God wanted His church to be. We go into the cities and many will see us. We will do the works of Christ and even greater works.
This shaking will cause you to let go of the “rituals” that you have clung to. I immediately thought of the monkey who was trying to get a banana out of box. To get to the banana he had to put his hand through a hole. However, he could not get his fist out of the hole. He would have to let go the banana. Some of us a like the monkey, we want to experience more of God, but aren’t willing to let go of our ritual ruts, our traditions, and even our pasts. We must be willing to follow where God leads, get out of our comfort zones and allow God to move. Remember this, God can do new things, but He will never violate His word.
Are you willing to let go and let God move mightily in your life?
New Beginnings, and Blessings to All!
